Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you all.......well it can get any worse than the last 12 months have been for LUFC.
Today we played Derby away. Its always been a place I hate to visit. We never get a result here and always have average performances.......and todays game didnt go any better.
So we set off at 2.15pm from our regular drinking establishment ,The Hope Inn on York Rd, and headed off down the M1 to pick the usual rabble up.
We have a pretty full bus today. 38 out of 49 isnt bad for just after Christmas and with prices for the game at £38 too.
Our pub stop again is in Alfreton so were all having a drink and chat, talking about Christmas and the uo and coming New Years Eve night and everyine is in good spirits.
The Norwegians have come out in force today. Teaching us the Jager way of life as usual.
We set off to the ground at 6pm as police orders and arrive with plenty of time for a few more drinks inside the ground.
Game kicks off and to be fair its an even contest up until Mowatts own goal. Now this is where i start to see a pattern with when we conceed goals.
Its not through a piece of genius or wonderful through ball that we conceed, its through our own individual mistakes.
Beradi should of cleared the ball long before his misplaced pass, if he had done the old "Ave It" up field we wouldnt of been left under such pressure. A quick switch of the ball across field and then a cross into the box for the poor oncoming Mowatt to scramble the ball in off the bar.
1-0 Derby just before half time. Becoming a regular thing this now.
2nd half kicks off and straight away a corner is given. Leeds (and especially Doukara) look like they havent left the dressing room, and a free header from Buxton seals the 2nd goal.for Derby 2-0.
It was school boy marking from Doukara. For such a big guy he really is soft. Reminds me of Heskey.....apart from Heskey was half decent......compared to Doukara i mean....anyway take that however you like.
Nothing really happens after that. No reaction. A game football carries on but no breaks or opertunities fall for either team.
The Leeds fans again were in great voice throughout as usual. I have some videos.which i will.post on Youtube later.
Anyway. Im on the coach on the way home now. Very subdude and quiet.....apart from TJ's (coach driver) choice of music. Lets say its different!!
